Nights skyA Poem by Chilson, JoshuaThis has a bit of story as well.Foggy eye's stair into the storm, the laceration of light burns back, as the man walks on into the night. Lifeless eyes dart right and left, scanning the nights sky for it's true essence, yet they fixate on the blooming moon. As an inhalation of smoke, frigid with the nights air spirals inward, while the slow release pass's the moons glow like a ghastly cloud. Night stretches on in times absence, with the great pearl in the sky taking fades away, every night as it's ascending and descending tells it's story to those whom listen. "Day and night I give chase to the sun just to have one beautiful day, as the moon it is my time with the sun, where we bath in each others light knowing we will be together again." The old man's eyes foggy seem to brighten, as the beaten pad of leather pulled forth from behind meets his gaze. With a smile the dust is pushed away and the flap opens revealing a picture of what he give's chase to, his sun, his love, the memories drenched in pure brilliance. The flaps close, and the man holds half the heart he left behind firm in hand, as the words from another old friend ring in his heart "We will be together again." © 2012 Chilson, JoshuaAuthor's Note
