Pressure of Desire

Pressure of Desire

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

We all tend to hold ourselves back, some falling in place blindly following in which you could be the one following the fool.

"
Can we leave it all behind,
jump the next train to the unknown,
no doubt or thoughts of regret but pure passion,
an eagerness to push forward and release from within,
to walk the threshold and take whats yours.

Or has fear got the best of us,
weeding it's way deep into our skin,
growing roots where we stand to ensure hesitance,
bleeding us of our will to choose a better future.

Shall we keep falling into place,
not allowing ourselves a choice in where we stand,
why not speak up stand out and play your part,
never letting the world hold you back,
and if its so selfish to want to breathe then I choose to breathe.
