Twisted Romantics

Twisted Romantics

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua

  It's been long,
since last I seen you,
though memories faded,
no longer do I remember our past.

  Yet tonight,
my arm's around you,
listening to your life,
feeling that emotional dam you've built.

  Ten hard years,
the pain shows in those eye's,
wishing unto myself,
all that scars your heart.

  Facing me,
holding back tears I share my life,
similar you and I,
both twisted.

  My heart,
races against your skin,
embracing you tighter,
hiding our tears we weep within.

  Words cannot express,
that feeling when I awoke,
close to someone caring,
someone still there.

About
I write poetry from life experience, though most won't seem that way as I never get into specifics to the events that bring about my work. I'm a silent individual for the most part which doesn't ma.. more..
