Surreal Gift

Surreal Gift

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua

Look deep into that crystalline glass,
the glass that holds your intoxication,
this power drives you so.

I watch as it twist's your mind,
rooting it's way through veins,
and give's you that beautiful surreal gift.

Like artist with brush at hand,
you take one sip without folly,
and with this your world is born.

Like an angel from heaven,
can their be such beauty as this,
or am I spinning in perpetual motion.

Am I the flux,
or the cyclone,

this world is abstract to me.

Your sublimation,
pulls me forth unto you,
telling me to let go and delve into this glass.

This glass filled with love,
to the brim with constant succession,
and with no mortal flaw.

Those whispers at night,
when you enter my mind as I yours,
were taken in like a fine wine.

For that was your romance,
your novelty,
and this is my seduction.

Those whispers at night,
when you enter into my mind as I yours,
I take a drink and it taste's of the sweetest of wines.
This is your romance,
your novelty,
and this is my seduction.

This is a sensual poem. There is some nice imagery taking place here. Very enjoyable read.
