![]() My ShadowA Poem by Chilson, Joshua![]() We like to hide our failures in dark places, these places give birth to new shadows leaving light to expose the truth of who we are.![]()
My shadow sat along side me,
always eager to get inside, to know, feel, imagine. Sometimes I wonder if I should, lend my heart to the darkness, so it feels pain, sadness, and weight I carry. Though I hesitate, would it run away and hide with the moon, seeking refuge beyond the star blazing skies I reach to. So I pull away, resting hopes and dreams at it's feet, keeping each fallen star locked away for no one to find.
