Dreaming Icarus

Dreaming Icarus

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua

My hopes and dreams
Are carressed by the sun
As gentle kisses
Against waxen feathers
So that I may learn
To hold
Cherish
And find my way
For I wish
To breach their limits
Learn to fly
With the silken sun
As I do
Against the moons stary glow
Yet here I lay
A man of the earth
Feet solidly planted
Dreaming Icarus.

About
I write poetry from life experience, though most won't seem that way as I never get into specifics to the events that bring about my work. I'm a silent individual for the most part which doesn't ma.. more..
