Brain Trust

Brain Trust

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

Free flowing spoken word rant.

"
You feast on ideals
stolen from another's dream
prophetically pocketing profits
of adolescence and adults.

Yet we mentally evolve
slowly paced we understand
the only true freedom
is whats left in our mind.

Freely flowing into free fall
gently slipping through the holes of life
we break bread and wine
only we get to keep whats broken.

Like products of productivity
monetarily held in captivity
we reach and expand horizons
inflating wallets of what eats our dreams.

I write poetry from life experience, though most won't seem that way as I never get into specifics to the events that bring about my work. I'm a silent individual for the most part which doesn't ma.. more..
