Life is......

This is my description of life! Am usually puzzled by what other people think life is...

Life is not a paradox
Its simplicity that brings about complexity by itself..
Its an adventure that's not for the faint of heart but the spirited
Its a song without a tune but a beautiful melody
Its a river that runs both ways
A kind teacher with beautiful lessons
Its a galaxy of possibilities and milky way of choices
Its sometimes a thorny chocolate bar...with no guarantee you might not feed on the thorns
Life is no man's friend
It takes nothing but a minute to betray
It takes not but second to claim a soul
Yet it takes not but second to give another one
Life is a black widow spider, you may love it but it takes not long for it to get fade up of you..
Everything you think life is...is what its not! But if its not what it is then what is? That's another poem for another time "what is...."

You are a WRITER! How intriguing it is, right from the beginning, you pulled me in; Life is not a paradox, your style is so forthright and amazing the metaphors are there sparkling everywhere. This is so honest and the imagery is wonderful. I thinking continually of where I fit in this world, this river that runs both ways & I do love the thorny chocolate bar, the hurt will go away. My dear Grandfather had two quotes he said often. "Leave your anger at the front door. This is a house for family and love. Not arguments and strife." "Nothing good to say. Say nothing. Words and bad actions will leave permanents wounds." I like the lines you wrote also. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
