Can You Save Me?

Can You Save Me?

A Poem by Kaitlyn
"

I do believe it speaks for itself.

"

   Can you save me

When the danger is not an outside source?

When everything around me is dying?

When darkness corrupts my mind like poison?

What if

You tried to save me.

Where would you start?

Can you heal a broken mind?

Mend a heart that bleeds with

every

passing

beat?

Let's say

You do save me somehow.

Tomorrow I'll wake up

And it'll all be the same

Or will it?

Will I be able to step out of the shadows?

Accept who I am and learn to stop hating?

Can you teach me how to love anything again?

I'm asking the wrong question...

Not "can you...", but

Would you?

Can you mend a heart that bleeds... Would you? That is a good question. We all search for that savior/prince in shining armor. When they come into our lives it's a whirlwind. Sometimes I wish we had a little more control over saving our own lives. Very provacative piece. Nicely done v
