Darkness

I know what it's like to be alone because I've been that all my life

I know what it's like having no one, because no one was by my side

The only thing there, was the dark

But I want apart before it consumes my heart

And enters me into a world of constant war

A world of eternal darkness

Where all victims are left cold and heartless

No pulse because the hearts been torn from my chest

No sound but the faint wheezing in my breath

The needles pierce through my head

Making all my thoughts and dreams

The darkest full of terror and screams

Nightmares that come alive to torment me

More and more preventing me from finding peace

I cry but no tears run down my cheeks

I fight but know I am too weak

No one believes when I say i'm haunted by a dark entity

Apparently it must be too dark for them to see

Listen closely you might hear it creep

Keep your eyes shut, because it's there as you sleep.
