What I Keep Hidden

What I Keep Hidden

A Poem by Brian kelley
"

a boy is going through so much and yet still manages to keep a smile on his face and stand tall.

"

What i keep hidden, no one sees

A nightmare that'll takeover your dreams.

Screams come from what's beneath

A poor little boy crying “Help Me Please!”

Although the screams get louder, nobody seems to hear

All they see, a normal kid who shows no signs of fear.

Year after year witnessing abuse

He somehow still manages to make it on through.

Smiling and never wanting to frown

Keeping his head up instead of down.

The poor little boy’s looking for happiness,

But none to be found.

Like the sea, many wonder what's beneath

You don't know someone till you've looked underneath.
