Would that I could, spread a blanket in the tall grass. Upon that special blanket, a soft warm breeze ushers all manner of loving memories to hold until they overflow. Then a beautiful hummingbird hovers while singing of the joy it feels from our happiness in that wondrous moment. When leaving that blanket and the weight of days makes us low, that tiny bird flitters near, to remind us of the great love we hold within. We are able to lift those around us, just by smiling like that tiny bird does for us. Love is an infectious activity that we all need to practice, in order to perfect it.

I have to say this, however. Sounds to me as though your ex is something of an a-hole.

She really was an a*****e. Cheated on me like three times. I still forgave her though, even while she hurt me. I stayed and I shouldn't have. I don't see this poem in the same light now. I just hope she's been doing alright and has stopped being that much of an a hole

It sucks when a relationship ends like this, all you can think of are the good times and could have beens, and it's so friggen sad that all you can do is cry.
But hey, you'll find someone to really make your dreams come true, I did. Just be patient and everything will fall into place like stars in the night sky.

You're righttt. It's really sad. And since it was so long too (the relationship), it's going to take a while for me to move on. I'd rather be single and try to enjoy a lot of what the world has to offer, to focus on my self. If I do find someone, that would be really swell. And I'm glad you did.
