An ExtraA Poem by Chidoriflowergot bored, was nervous for my play
The light showers onto the stage
You blink, standing there Your lines! Which part, sentence, page The epitome of your worry and care It is quiet, besides the shuffling The lines once learnt are now gone You shudder, feeling stares Your arrogance you felt is now wrong, so wrong Those tremors in your gut; your neck hairs They feel your frozen fears The hours of grueling studying are lost You grimace, knowing the director Will be mad; will you be kicked off? Music starts to play, the audience cheers You suddenly realize you're an extra and you Don't have any lines
