Strange...

You, like malaria, swimming in the veins

Splitting my heart, like an asexual amoeba

Taking parts of me, impure, stupid leprosy

Contagious as small pox, funky as flu

But after the vaccines, I still love you

Using malaria for the emotion of love. Malaria can cause permanent damage. Love can too. I like the flow of thoughts leading to the very good ending. No vaccines for love. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

It's true you know. My uncle flew over to India to see his girlfriend and he caught malaria. Unfortunately they broke up. No one is really immune to love now that I think of it. Thank you for the review once again :3

Really smart comparing malaria to love because love...oh that Bi*** is no one's friend hey. Love can be fatal and dangerous.
I really liked the flow of the poem and I could feel the emotion and the effect it had on me (Let's just say it got me thinking about A LOT)
