I drag it behind me, that skeleton
It's heavy, but I ignore it It's loud, but I close my ears It bites my shoulder, and I'm forced to feel it I hold it in my throat, that frog It's concealed, but I can't speak It's sweet, but rots my mouth It clings to the walls, and I can't get it out I feel it encasing my heart, that cancer It's numb now, and I think it's over It crushes my very being Until, You crush it, make it vanish, And hold me again
