Laughing DeathA Poem by ChidoriflowerJust a little reflection
Voices whisper in my head, they call my name
Lust breeds in my bed, I'm not sane A jester's hat atop a skull, laughing, dead The crow cries "never!" and the clock stops The sands of time cease, the glass figure drops A boat's occupants, careen, mocking dead Vanity breaks my mirror, disfigures my face Rue is buried beneath the boards, in this place A handful of zombies, dancing, grinning dead The demon bows, and it's humility is complete The angel of death stands, the earth beneath his feet What perspective did millions of years hold? Something ancient, poignant, breaking the mold A few moments, blue butterfly, you will be alive
