I dare you to...(A Challenge)

I dare you to...(A Challenge)

A Poem by Chidoriflower
"

This is a rant of anger...I mean no offense.

"
I dare you to put salt in my wound
I dare you to rip out my heart
And instead, put in something new
Drink in the vile poison, so painful and tart

I dare you to take out an old thorn
I dare you to fill this empty hole
And replace the heart so tattered and worn
Dive in, don't hold back; asleep on your bowl

I dare you to burn my oiled flesh
I dare you to steal my temporary innocence
And snatch this, so young and fresh

I dare you to taunt my pathetic life
I dare you to reveal my secrets
And cut through my soul like a knife
Dream, of a time where you lived with
No regrets,
And where,
You didn't need
To bully me

The raw rage of this poem made it stand out to me, because you said what you meant and you didn't have barriers to hold back what you wanted to say.

Thank you, thank you very much.
I dare you to reveal my secrets and cut through my soul like a knife.those are some strong powerful words. Your last line reminded me how I was bullied in school many years ago. Good write.

Thanks Ash
You did a great job of capturing a specific tone. I like how it's taunting, and defiant; it almost feels like you're calling someone on their bluff. I like how specific you are with your metaphors.
