living is no newer

living is no newer

A Poem by Philip Gaber

he said:

I don’t really know

why I’m so sad…

she said:

It’s because

you don’t know

when to let go

of a tear…

he said:

I don’t

understand my

sense of tragedy…

she said:

It’s because

you got caught up

in the emergency

of your youth

rather than in the

safety of your death…

Philip,
Nice! I especially like the private dialogue as a poem. And those poems ar so ethereal, they happen as a drop of beauty, then evaporate to nothing, unless some captures one on a piece of paper. "emergency of youth vs the safety of death.... Love it.
