Chapter One: 14 Years PriorA Chapter by Caleb AndersonIn this chapter, we will explore the life of Henry Aresnail (The guy who committed suicide) and why he resulted in Suicide.
It was an unseasonably cold night on Lockwood shore. Henry Aresnail walked barefoot upon the sand, watching as the waves rolled up onto the shore and dragging it off as it returned to it's wet nature. "Tomorrow," Henry whispered to the ocean, "I will drown." The waves silenced. The tone in Henry's voice was sad, but also grim and angry. "Tomorrow!" Henry's voice echoed in the settled sea. "Henry!" His mother, Judith, Looked out the window! "Henry! Get in here! You'll catch pneumonia!" Her voice was of worry. "It doesn't matter anyways!" Henry mumbled under his breath.
***************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Henry sat on the shore the next day, staring at his homework sheet. He watched as all the children and adults left the beach. When they were all gone, he tore up his worksheet, and threw it out to sea. "If I'm dead, how am I going to do homework? I'll leave a reminder!" Henry ran up farther on the beach, and took out a glass coke bottle. He smashed thee bottle up against the metal swing bars, and broke the bottle. He then set both parts of the bottle, still full of coke, snug in the sand where no one could see. Suddenly, silence broke out on the beach. The waves were calm, the wind was stilled, the clouds wouldn't move. Henry walked down into the water, took a long breath in, and died. The waves roared, and the wind howled, The clouds stormed. They all seemed to be telling Henry that he was condemned. Then the heavy layer of sand that was over the broken bottle flew across the shore. The coke spilled out and engraved in the sand, "Henry Aresnail Death Day June 8, 1987." Suddenly, the broken remains of the coke bottle flew out of the sand, and sailed to the sea. All of this came from a fire that destroyed Henry's home in Arnoldford.
