Take Me Away

Take Me Away

A Poem by Devan McKinley

I saw your face,
In a blurred cloud of sleep apnea.
And you smiled at me.
Looked a while at me.

You took my hand.
And we danced along the moon light's glow.
Your heart and mine,
Caught intertwined.

I kissed your lips.
And you showed me temptation.
You made me believe.
Now I no longer grieve.
