Talking to the MoonA Poem by Devan McKinley
I'll sit up and tell the moon,
All about me. And all about you. I'll ask it if our stars have crossed again. I try to make myself move on. A few months pass, And the next ones gone. I'm trying to find that love in other men. I thought I felt it once before, But silly me, I saw much more, Than what was ever there-he's nothing. We're both young and a little scared, But we always knew and are aware, That no matter what, We'll be something. © 2017 Devan McKinley |
