Momma says do what makes you happy.

Daddy says do what's right.

When you try to mix your brain and heart,

You can bet there's gunna be a fight.

Momma says go ahead, let it all out.

Daddy says there's no use crying.

When you try to mix your brain and heart,

One of them ends up lying.
