As they lay

As they lay

A Poem by Sheri Lynn
"

To a man who gives hope to a fallen heart

"

Weeping succumbed to the forgotten fears
Loneliness, seclusion even terror of others
Feelings of hunger resurfacing from within
Charismatic man yet never have they meet
Sensitive understanding to his thoughtful words
Complete awareness filling her with smiles of hope
Throbbing hunger for his long awaited soothing caresses
Thousands of miles between they're beating hearts
Miles banished as bewilderment overcomes them
Stunned as they intently gaze into each other eyes
Her body feels gentle strokes moving effortlessly
Caressing, he memorizes every inch of her silky skin
Reaching to feel the facial scruff against her palm
Cupping his face gently in her delicate shaky hands
Immediate embrace as arms closing in affectionately
Inhaling his scent as it defeats all sense of rationality
His slow steady breathing against her neck, quivering
Unexpected moan escapes her as she drifts into a deep sleep
Fascination fills him overcome spellbound by such fortune
Ultimately to discover each other together as they lay...
