Sun beaming through the curtains on a summer day
Smells of the salty sea air as it moves the curtains ever so gently
Slowly reaching for the man she loves laying beside her
She reaches finding only emptiness where warmth had been
Confusion fills her head as she slowly raises up off the bed
Was the man she really loved here with her in this tropical paradise
Could it be true that she was with the man of her dreams
Certain that reality has not been taken from her, she closes her eyes
Opening her eyes slowly she looks at her hand,
Her wedding band from only yesterday when they exchanged vows
For her dreams are a reality, it was not a yearning but truly real
She searches for her friend, lover and husband from room to room
Peering out the open doors, listening to the sound of the ocean,
Glistening over the sand, straining to hear the voice of her husband
Hearing footsteps, her heart beats faster in anticipation
A hand slowly turns her around and she peers into his eyes
Total completeness has filled her heart, overwhelming ecstasy
Lips slowly melt together, body intertwining until nothing matters
There is no one in the world right now but her and him
The honeymoon has begun...
