Awakens...

Awakens...

A Poem by Sheri Lynn

A click

Expresses the initial curiosity

A word

Articulates the beginnings faith

An invite

Bestows the sheepishly handsome smile

An embrace

Opens the distraught heart to budding possibilities

A smell

Arouses unfulfilled fantasies from hidden seekers

A look

Propels the mind to gratifying thoughts of ecstasy

A touch

Unfolds a yearning union long since elapsed

A kiss

Steals her inner strength holding it captive

A caress

Mesmerizes bitter sweetness disturbances throughout her

A tear

Uncovers uncontrollable contentment in moments of joyful bliss

An alarm

Awakens panic to flustered unfilled isolated nothingness

an interesting read, this is a different pattern that to what we normally follow and hence it highlights your creative abilities for successfully pulling it off. although i'd rather it be a little more dramatic, but a wonderful read none the less!

Very creative piece. I do agree that a dash would help the poem flow better than the 3 periods.
But it is still a very soild piece. Good write : )

interesting poem. I think it would have a greater impact if instead of putting three periods, you simply spaced the other line to farther away or added a dash (-) instead.
