Disintegrate

Disintegrate

A Poem by Chikaki
"

Brass church bells and pure candelight...

"

One year, with you, has passed

The sun constantly controlling the night

Myself, a deeper wound than your own

Brightest red flowers blossom in the winter frost

Brass church bells and pure candlelight

Wooden crosses on your heavy casket

Black clothed cries that will not catch me

As I drop those delicate petals on the grave

Another funeral softened by four seasons

I stand in the back with a blank expression

I wonder who is in that new coffin that all the people cry for

When will more help me forget you?

I remember meeting you on that silent road

And loving you in the same memory

With a child's neglected doll in my hands

As the summer sun beat down on my existence

Brass church bells and pure candlelight

Wooden crosses on your heavy casket

Black clothed cries that will not reach me

As I drop these delicate petals on the grave

The haunting summer approaches again

But my heart can't force my will to go to this place again

At last, on this silent road, I hold the doll in my worn hands

And look to the sky as we disintegrate together
