Mother, Mother

Mother, Mother

A Poem by Created Unfinished

Mother, Mother
Where would I be if you had loved me?
With all of your hate, I felt the weight of my heart shriveled up.
My home was a place least traveled.
I savored each moment, alone, with any other.
Abuse is hard, but it makes you tougher.

Mother, Mother
Where would I be if you had loved me?
I’d be a lot softer, kind hearted, a selfless daughter.
Without all my scars, without all these trials,
The world would crush that kind-hearted daughter.

Mother, Mother
If you had loved me, I’d be less of a fighter.
