Father

Father

A Poem by Created Unfinished

To my absent father,
I say this without pause, not to frighten or surprise, but to summarize the whole arc of my emotion.

I hope you are dead.
I wish you the grave.
A wooden coffin, a freshly dug patch of dirt.
To be there, would be the safest place, away form me and my vengeful hands.
This isn’t a threat.
This isn’t a plan.
This is what can happen.
