My weaknessA Poem by Created UnfinishedThis is a poem inspired by the series, "Crank".
They said you were my weakness.
That what I did was because I could not leave without you in my arms. Still I carried you through the days, as your love transformed into something that looked much too close to addiction. What they saw was only through slits in my composure and wounds I couldn't hide. Still I carried you through the days, even those where you held a hand but not mine. They said I helped you learn to live off another. That you abused because I lent you my body as if I was a sculpture for you to mold. Still I carried you through the days, even when you said those words that cut down deep, down deep into my soul. They said I would regret leaving you. That my own addiction wasn't just love. Still I would carry you just one more day, even I was surprised how my arms felt when your weight was gone. If they said you were my weakness, I would say that you had made me strong. © 2015 Created UnfinishedFeatured Review
