The River

The River

A Poem by c.m.
"

I tried to rhyme...it's short, and horrible.

"

Fear in gray, slip past lingering delicacy.

Hope in blue, nestle deep in his palm.

Burrow deep in lines of sweet intricacy.

Ridding yourself of your storms to calm.

Hope in blue, tread warily in waters thought to be salvation.

Love in gray, float, quivering in delicious desperation.

I agree with Corey in terms of this being a not so simple poem, because I the meaning behind it totally escapes me :S
Maybe you can send me a msg and tell me whats up :)

The rhyming works and I'm sure I'll tie it into the context of the story once you tell me whats up - hehe

Nice write.

The visual imagery that flows through this piece is profoundly magnificent..

I'm especially fond of this line..

"Hope in blue, tread warily in waters thought to be salvation."

I dare say I've tread those waters many times in my life..

Lovely write..very thought provoking..:-)

What help, its fabulous the way it is, the rhyming actually works very well without detracting. Nice short, and not so simple poem. I really like this one.
