The World, Your PosessionA Poem by c.m.You've always held it, love...The world held in your sweating palm, turning with every puff of your sweet breath. Your fingers playing in the oceans, dancing on the shores. Showing the crabs how to crawl, the gulls how to fly. The world held in your sweating palm, turning with every puff of your sweet breath. Your fingers tracing the mountains, deepening the valleys. Showing the trees how to stand, the wind how to whistle. When the weight in your hand grows cold, think of my warmth. When you feel the weight no longer sees you, look into my eyes. The world your possession, love; take to the skies. © 2010 c.m.Author's Note
