The World, Your Posession

The World, Your Posession

A Poem by c.m.
"

You've always held it, love...

"

The world held in your sweating palm, turning with every puff of your sweet breath.

Your fingers playing in the oceans, dancing on the shores.

Showing the crabs how to crawl, the gulls how to fly.

The world held in your sweating palm, turning with every puff of your sweet breath.

Your fingers tracing the mountains, deepening the valleys.

Showing the trees how to stand, the wind how to whistle.

When the weight in your hand grows cold, think of my warmth.

When you feel the weight no longer sees you, look into my eyes.

The world your possession, love; take to the skies.

I was truly left breathless simply because this seems very different from your usual writing... it's nice to read stuff that's out of your comfort zone... keep working in different areas and you're bound to make me swoon some more... I'm very proud of you; God, I raised you right *tear*

Poem is fantastic. I believe each of us have no limit if we try to do great things instead of waiting for someone to direct. I like the feel and the story in your words. A outstanding poem.

Shazam!!!! That was so good sweet, I loved this one. We all seem to know people who are this capable, wish I was one of them. The images were so vivid and the breadth of the vision so expansive. Makes me want to draw in a deep breath and create the universe. Truly great work.
