The AnswerA Poem by c.m.Plain and simpleI would follow you into the light if you asked The light bouncing off windows, reflecting. Every cloud posesses a silver lining. The sun lighting your beautiful features quite stunning. Your lips lined in the sunlight purely divine.
I would follow you into the dark if you asked The cloaking black frightening; you're all I have. Lighting the way with your bright-lit eyes. Taking your hand, trusting your knowledge. Blind to your face; trusting the feel of your skin.
I would follow you into the storm if you asked Hiding you from the rain and keeping you dry. My skin red from the pelting raindrops as your eyes measure my worth. A subtle nod of your head my only invitation to stay. The winds blowing your dark hair so freely.
I would follow you into the ocean if you asked Holding your head above the cruel waters. Gripping your hands as the waves threaten to crush you. Trying desperately to free you from the waters; we've so much left to know. As those hazeled eyes plead with me to let go.
I would follow you until the end if you asked Scared to death, but willing to go. You vow to return if I shant follow you; Anywhere you go, I'll go too. Should you ask. © 2010 c.m.Author's Note
