GuidanceA Poem by c.m.Another on that oh so touchy subject.I think of your face, And it reminds me I've never seen it. I think of your warm, kind hands, And it reminds me I've never felt them. I think of your eyes upon me, And it reminds me of my shame.
What would a man of your great stature Say to a child like me? A child who has strayed many a time, A child with sin mixed into her blood. A child with shame all over her face.
Time and time again, My hand has been forced into yours. It took the special guidance of one To guide my hand to yours, To make me leave it there.
The hand that didn't push me, The hand of a patient one. The hand that opened my blind eyes, And led me to you slowly. My guide, my friend, my saving grace. © 2010 c.m.Author's Note
