The Joy Of An AngelA Poem by c.m.This is a sestina poem I had to write for school. The last words have to match in a pattern. I think you'll catch on.Longing for the arms of an angel Desire written on my face Etched permanently with tears Desire seeps into my heart As I try not to smile With this feeling of abundant joy.
As every fiber screamed with joy; Desire, for the arms of this angel I couldn't help but smile It spread across my face, Spread across my entire heart Welling out of me through tears
Never have I expelled such joyous tears As with this angelic joy This man has seeped into my heart This divine angel With his expressionless face Not even so much as a smile
Can I not make him smile? Is this being too good for tears? Yet I love this expressionless face That fills me with abundant joy Suddenly as I cry, a smile crosses this angel One that envelops my heart
Wrapped in him, I leave my heart Just marveling at his gorgeous smile A smile fit for only an angel that fills me with tears of such radiant joy. Etched again with tears upon my face.
This angel touches my face In turn, touching my heart My heart wrapped in his created joy And once more, he's crossed with a smile And suddenly his face holds tears, tears of a divine angel
Tears of this angel adorn his beautiful face Tears of joy? Or tears of sorrow in his heart? Love, please smile. Your best feature is joy. © 2010 c.m.Author's Note
