Lips Of Canvas

Lips Of Canvas

A Poem by c.m.
"

A sonnet I had to write at school.

"

So bright, your eyes outshine the stars.

Your lips a canvas mine long to write upon.

You create yearning in my heart

Long after you have gone.

Still, I feel your hands upon my skin,

Tracing patterns with your delicate touch.

Patterns like reminders of where you've been,

Along the way, you've become my crutch.

My puzzled, weary head on your chest,

Your sweet face leaning toward mine.

With your soft hand comes a sweet caress.

Dreaming of your lips crushing mine.

Your lips of canvas I long to paint,

Until that day, my lips patiently wait.

You have a soft pen that glides smooth across the page. Very well done fade. This line"

"Your lips of canvas I long to paint,
Until that day, my lips patiently wait."

Was golden.

Great job.

This is beautiful and once again so eloquently written.
Some of my favorite lines are: Your lips a canvas mine long to write upon.
Patterns like reminders of where you've been
Your lips of canvas I long to paint,
Until that day, my lips patiently wait.
Powerful, soft flowing.
