Flame Fairy

Flame Fairy

A Poem by Bryttnie C.

Flames are fairies dancing on a small string,
As the flame fairy dances to soundless music ,
I become hypnotized with such beauty.
But when the candle grew small,
and the wick started to wither,
I then realize how much beauty one candle can hold

I can literally stop and stare at fire forever. It is so mesmerizing, beautiful and destructive all at the same time. Such an inspiration to writers and poets throughout the ages. Great job.

This is a beautiful start. Just a few suggestions:

I get that 'with such beauty' can be left out. When I read that line, it seems more powerful without it.

Your tense changed from the first stanza to the second:

But when the candle grows...and the wick starts...I realize ('then' isn't necessary there).

Nice imagery here. I love watching a flame dance.
