A safe place

A safe place

A Poem by Chesney W.

Not there right now,

I'm here

No drama,

just play.

He's not here to cause pain.

I love it here.

Let me live here

let me stay here until I'm full grown.

I'll be good,

just get me away from him.

He's the reason

I'm broken

and not a normal teenage girl.

He hurts my emotions badly

He keeps me from being myself.

This place shows me the real world

it helps me escape my misery.

A safe place.

The message was good, but I found the flow was a bit hard to follow 100%. But, it could very well be that I was merely distracted while reading. Over all, I'd give this a 8.5 out of 10.

A lot of hidden story in the poem. I like the flow of thoughts. A safe place is necessary for us to grow-up without fear. I enjoyed the complete poem. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
