My forest...A Poem by Chesney W.In this forest, everything is gone. The animals are hidding. The plants are dying. The sun's not shining. It's dark, dim, and gray. I blink. All the darkness fades away.
It gets brighter. The trees grow taller, the sun shines down, flowers bloom.
The animals come out. Butterflys flutter. The deer drink from the pond.
It looks beautiful.
Fairies fly, leaving sparkles behind. The big fairy, the mother I guess, stares at me. In that moment I realize that what I was wearing before is gone.
My old clothes, ripped jeans and a stained t-shirt, has been replaced with a new dress. The color? Pale blue, with a gold belt. It's hemline at my knees. New shoes too. Brown sandels.
My hair is all fixed, it was a mess before.
A boy, with simple attire, appears from the woods. He glances at me and smiles. He walks towards me.
I don't know what to do, so I just stand and let him come forth. He grabs my hand, kisses it, then lets it fall with his fingers intertwined with mine.
We look at the mother fairy. She smiles at us, then flies away.
Now I know that this forest I had walked into, is no ordinary forest. Before me, it was just a forest. Now it is my forest.
