High School

High School

A Poem by Chesney W.

Younger kids think the world is a happy place,

but as they grow older they realize it's not.

The world grows dimmer and darker as the drama of high school begins

pressure, self-esteem,UGH!

Students pressure others into feeling like they have to be a certain way.

yeah, sure, we're all friends in elementery,

in midde school we choose our main friends,

but in high school,

that's when the war begins

The pressure,

self-esteem,

drama.

UGH!

High School.

Oh yes, I agree. Although, for me, high school started in 1966.
I like how you were open and engaging in 2012.
I sense strength in you, beyond the norm.
I wanted to see your early work. I'm very impressed.
I'd like to share a poem that makes my point.

Free yourself from expectations,
likewise too for explanations,
send them off on long vacations.
Harken to your soul’s vibrations.

Give yourself this simple treasure,
“Openness” without a measure.

The secret is to just be You.
That’s something no one else can do.
