Running NakedA Poem by Chesney W.Sometimes you have to be exposed to truly understand what's happening around you.Running naked in the sun The beams of destruction burn my skin Rays of hell blister my soft body The heat distracts my mind of things to ponder Meanwhile the brightness lights my path But leaves me exposed to the eye Running naked in the wind The noise cuts through my eardrums I run sideways to the trees My balance keeps my mind from trying Debris leaves my pathway unclear Continuing being nearly impossible Running naked in the storm Water dripping from my lashes impairs my vision Clouds of depression linger above Lightening strikes my mind of anything good Hail obliterates the path from view This storm takes over my soul Dreading the next step The pathway scarring my body Vulnerability keeping my mind closed off Weakening my lungs from yelling Laying defenseless in the fight Running naked in life.
