A Weekend With You

A Weekend With You

A Poem by Chesney W.

For a weekend, and one weekend alone.

We should spend eternity with no one else.

We would jump around on the bed like little kids.

We would listen to our music way to loud

and sing every line way out of tune.

We would have a tickle fight.

We would laugh until our tummies hurt.

We would watch movies all day.

We would have the best weekend ever.

We wouldn't do anything regretful,

we shall make this weekend one to remember.

The best of both our lives.

A weekend alone with you is all I'm asking for,

maybe it'll turn out to be more than just a weekend,

and instead, it become a lifetime with you.

thank you for reviewing my work..and liking it! I greatly appreciate it!(:
You have a slight typo, It says "It become". Other wise I like it. It feels light and child like in the hope for this weekend. Child like of course being a complement.

A beautiful and hopeful poem. I like the desire to know laughter and friendship first and hoping for more. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
