I want someone.

I don't like being single...it sucks.

Watching as couples pass

hands held

smiles on their faces.

 

I thnk back to when that was me.

I seemed my happiest.

Love on my mind all the time.

 

Now, I'm all alone.

Everywhere I look, there are lovebirds.

People so happy.

 

I want to be kissed.

I want to be loved.

I want the lonely to leave.

 

I want someone that's like me,

yet, different

so we can balance.

 

I want to be wanted.

I ache to have someone.

I cant stand this anymore.

 

But absolutely no one wants me.

I think he's the one,

but then he shuts me down.

 

Rejection hurts.

I want to be accepted.

I want someone.

We all want someone...whether you believe it or not. We are all selfish when it comes to love and yes, i know it's difficult to see couples everywhere and feel like you're the only one without someone, standing out like a sore thumb. But one day, you will find someone, someone who will accept you fully for who you are and love you just the way you want. I am determined you will find him one day and good things always come to those who wait...so just be patient, he could be anywhere and come at anytime to simply sweep you off your feet.

This writing seems heart felt. You've instilled emotions using simple words. Well done. As per the feelings in this write, yes I can relate. I'm slightly older than you, by a couple of years.. and I feel I've been through this phase. I was that love bird once and I've felt
"I want to be wanted.
I ache to have someone.
I cant stand this anymore."
...that feeling.

And it took me a long time to realize that love isn't something you find, but it finds you. Ye, it sucks. The wait. Everything about it. You have to help fate a little, and put yourself out there, but in the end, it has to find you. You only have to do your part.

This write reminded me of a quote which had helped me on my way.

Until you learn to truly let go of that someone who rejected you, you won't be able to see those other people who are looking at you.

..The only way to learn this, is time.
Just make sure you have the right people around you for now, friends and family. Love the people at home. It will make your days so much better.
Finally, don't lose hope, and keep writing!

Funny how love is everywhere when we are alone. I like the story in the poem and the desire to find someone. Love is a two-sided coin. Can make us happy and lock us up at the same time. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

I know the feeling, when you wish you had that one person to love, and everytime you see someone with someone your heart just breaks into two. it could be your not over someone or you miss being loved by another. that's what i feel when i see someone with someone else.
