Think of a PainA Poem by Chesney W.This inanimate object is inside my head. It won't leave me alone.
I offer is everything I have. But it rathers to bother me, calling my name.
Its voice is a soothing kind. With a rough finish.
It's peaceful to listen to. But evil things it says.
It's repitition of annoyance, gives me a headache. I try to ignore it.
It's scratching away at my brain and skull. It hurts just at the thought of it.
The ignorance within such a thing, gives me pain others can't imagine.
I'm the only one. No-one else ever complains about the whining of a person hiding in a small place in their own imaginary wonders.
The screeching of a bullet sounds, and, like that, the unknown subject is gone.
Slowly, my mind eases back to normal. Wondering if it was real, or only a voice of my cruel imagination. © 2012 Chesney W.Reviews
