The Strange One.

The Strange One.

A Poem by Chesney W.
"

So what, I like being different. That's just who I am. :)

"

People look at me like I'm disgusting,

like I'm the weirdest person in the world.

People like me are scarce in the South.

Just like rednecks are scarce is Hollywood.

I don't care what they think.

Sticks and Stones may break my bones,

and, truth be told, words hurt as well.

But I deal with it.

I like being the odd ball out.

The Fruitloop in a sea of Cheerios.

That's just me.

I like standing out.

Being different is the way I live.

All the stares and surprised looks,

are like a trophies to me.

My mom thinks that I'm just giving bullies

something to talk about.

I don't care.

All of their s**t that their talking

is only making me stronger.

It's making me into a better person.

Sooner or later,

they're gonna regret it.

Being me,

is a part of me.

I'm two years into High School,

known as "The Strange One" ,

there's no turning back now.

Honesty, integrity, and a lot of heart. You remind me of myself, probably when I was your age. Keep being yourself, because frankly, that is the only thing worth being.
