I am the monster insideA Poem by William RowdonJust something that came to mind in between classes.
It devours me
Eats my insides, chips away at my core Not passion but desire Not need but greed A greed for power A lust for strength A monster that dwells deep inside I know it's evil But I feed it Fueled by my hate Strengthened by my envy And I revel in its power It awakens me in the morning Hardens my resolve in belief Chills my sense against depression And it taints my very soul I am the monster inside I reap what I sow Trust no one like the demon commands I am the monster inside © 2012 William Rowdon |
