Today

Today

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Yesterday was everything

A smile among the crowd

And tomorrow I see rainbows

A sun filled sky, no clouds

Yet within this day I'm doomed to live

For all eternity

No pleasant past

Nor sun filled dream

Will come to satisfy me

And yet, here, trapped

I would come to love

The grey and rain filled gloom

Just send another to my arms

Better make it soon
