Be gone

Be gone

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Oh, elusive you

You, my stability

The solid union for which I fought

How easily your walls did crumble

No strength to my security

What a question it begs

Of sanity

Of logic

Of life

Is this the point we all search for

Knowledge be gone

Your burden has grown too heavy

. ah, that stabs and stings ... it's a couple of punches in the stomach ... powerful, so very powerful ... brilliant beyond measure for its brevity ... but what a thought and how well you end it ... that last line is just so perfect for the rest of your poem ...
