My Fiery mute

My Fiery mute

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Let fall the waters of this day

Roll in rivers from your fiery mute

Stand atop his silenced mouth

As the winds fight your stance,

Close your eyes

And drift

Tumble from this merry state

Start anew

Refresh

As we descend, so we shall rise

In glory and bitter defeat

Such is life, she bows to tell

As we gaze and wish upon stars

The memory of a fairytale

That one day will be ours
