Somewhere

Somewhere

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Somewhere in this world tonight

Beneath a watching star

There sits a man

Talking to the heavens

Spilling sweet romance

Whispering sweet nothings

Praying for his chance

Somewhere...

There he sits alone and dreams

Of electric love

A spark

A sign

A thunderbolt

A romantic rhyme

A fairy-tale, he has been told

And yet,

He waits, longing

Somewhere...

Here I sit

Beneath the watching stars

Talking to the heavens

Spilling sweet romance

Whispering sweet nothings

Praying for a chance

Here...

Here I sit alone and dream

Of electric love

A spark

A sign

A thunderbolt

A romantic rhyme

A fairy-tale, I have been told

And yet,

I wait, longing

Here.

Patience will win the day. And he will appear from somewhere least expected at the oddest time. No hurries, no worries.

yes, it is true, and you will meet; but remember, you are both whole people, and romance, though lovely, is just a long introduction...
