The world has unfurled

The world has unfurled

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

The world has unfurled

Pure madness in its wake

Left has changed course

Right found connection to wrong

The clocks have flown south for the winter

The cat is ticking a steady beat

The table tapping its heavy feet

Eyes of the walls to watch each step

Nose of the fridge

Ears of the floor

I cannot even describe the anatomy of the door

The world has unfurled

Can you comprehend

My book is written backwards

My language gone askew

My love, he loves another

Perhaps he loves you

I cannot stand to see

The cup that once contained coffee

Now belongs to tea

The world has unfurled

Insanity all around

What a way to be

But would you, could you, believe

This is heaven to me

ABSOLUTELY! =)~ entranced by the surreal scales tipped upside down until balance is inbalance and the rabbit hole turns inside out on surreal puffs of cotton candy for the transcendent mind~ much enjoyed!!!

A wonderful piece of writing. Through confusion comes contentment, through chaos comes enlightenment. This is one of my favorite pieces by you. I think this will go in my library:)

this was entertaining and meaningful! i feel as though I know exactly where you are coming from. My life is utterly a mess and crazy right now- but there are things that I love and can find comfort in- so all is not las ost as it would seem!

Clever thoughts of the topsy-turvy nature of our lives - and then the surprise twist - yes, it's what makes life interesting and even enjoyable! Smiles

This last line is a bit of a shock ending. I love how everything is described like a fictional tale where everything has been turned around and changed. this is a wonderful world you have described and I can picture it perfectly.
